If A and B are two sets, the set containing all the ordered pairs where the first element is taken from A and the second element is taken from B is called the Cartesian product of A and B and is denoted by A X B, and read as A cross B.
A X B = {(x,y)/ x A and y B}

Example:
If A = {1,2,3,4,5} and B = {9}, the find A X B.

Solution:
The ordered pairs are (1,9), (2,9), (3,9), (4,9) and (5,9)
The set of ordered pairs can be written as {(1,9), (2,9), (3,9), (4,9), (5,9)}
Therefore, A X B = {(1,9), (2,9), (3,9), (4,9), (5,9)}
