Example:
Find the G.C.D. of 24, 30 and 42 using prime factorization method.

Solution:
Prime factors of 24 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3
Prime factors of 30 = 2 * 3 * 5
Prime factors of 42 = 2 * 3 * 7
The common terms are 2 and 3
Therefore, the G.C.D. of 24, 30 and 40 is the product of their common factors = 2 * 3 = 6
