High School Mathematics 4.43 Volume of The Prism - III
Example:
The base of a prism is a rhombus with diagonals 28 cm. and 30 cm. height of the prism is 28 cm. Find its volume. solution: Area of rhombus = 1/2 * d_{1} * d_{2}
A = 1/2 * 28 * 30
A = 840/2
A = 420 Sq. cm. Volume of the prism = A * h
= 420 * 28
= 11760 cu. cm.
