High School Mathematics 4.11 Surface Area of a Sphere - III
Example:
The surface area of a sphere is 154 Sq. cm. Find its radius. Solution:
Given that,
Volume of the sphere = 154 Sq. cm.
i.e., 4 * pi * r^{2} = 154
r^{2} = 154 * 7/22 * 1/4
r^{2} = 1078/88
r^{2} = 12.25
r = 3.5 cm.
