 Method: Read out the numbers given. If the number in the ones place is 5 or more than 5, then we add 1 to the digit in tens place and make the number in ones place 0 If the number in ones place is less than 5 then we convert that digit to 0 and leave the number in the tens digit as it is. Example: Round 48 to the nearest tens . The number in the ones place is 8, hence we add 1 to 4 and round off 8 to 0. Answer : 50 Example: Round 43 to the nearest tens . The number in the ones place is 3, hence we round off the number to 40. Answer : 40 Directions: Answer the following questions. Also write atleast 5 examples of your own.
