2.10 Expanded Form - Numbers to 1000

Method:
  1. Read out the numbers given.
  2. Write them in the expanded form.
  3. The digit in ones place should be multiplied by 1, tens place by 10 and hundreds place by 100.
Example: Write the expanded form of 564
Look at the number above. The number in hundreds place is 5, number in tens place is 6 and the number in ones place is 4.
Answer : 500 + 60 + 4
