- The tens place uses the words twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty and ninety for 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90.
- The words for 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 21, 27, 28, 29 and 30 are written as twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty four, twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven, twenty eight, twenty nine, thirty.
- The words for 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 31, 37, 38, 39 and 40 are written as thirty one, thirty two, thirty three, thirty four, thirty five, thirty six, thirty seven, thirty eight, thirty nine, forty.
