5.13 Adding Several Double Digit Numbers

Method:
  1. Start adding numbers in the ones place.
  2. If the result is a 2 digit number, then carry the tens digit of the result to the numbers in the tens digit.

Example: Add

  • Step 1: Add the numbers in ones place, this results in a 2 digit number.
  • Step 2: Carry over the 2 to tens place.
  • Step 3: Now add the numbers in hundreds place.
Answer: 124
