2.15 Decimal Differences

To subtract a decimal from another decimal:
  1. Arrange the decimals in column by keeping the decimal point in the same column.
  2. Subtract as usual ignoring the decimal points.
  3. Then, finally put the decimal point in the difference in the column of the decimal points.
Example 1:
Subtract 0.25 from 2.68

Answer: 2.43

Example:
Subtract 6.8 from 10.052

Answer: 3.252

Example:
Subtract 0.529 from 8

Answer: 7.471
