Skip Counting by 2 and 3 with Thousands

Method:
  1. Read the numbers given.
  2. Notice the pattern in the sequence of numbers.
  3. Guess the number that should come next.
Example:
6075, 6078, 6081, 6084, ____
Look at the numbers in the above sequence. Here the difference between one number to the next is 3, therefore, it is skip counting by 3. That is, to each number we have to add 3 to get the next number.
In the above example,
6078 - 6075 = 3
6081 - 6078 = 3
6084 - 6081 = 3
Hence, to each number we have to add 3 to get the next number.
Answer: 6087

Example:
5564, 5566, 5568, ____
Look at the numbers in the above sequence. Here the difference between one number to the next is 2, therefore, it is skip counting by 2. That is, to each number we have to add 2 to get the next number.
In the above example,
5566 - 5564 = 2
5568 - 5566 = 2
Hence, to each number we have to add 2 to get the next number.
Answer: 5570
