Example:
By how much is the number of oak trees greater than number of larch trees?

Number of larch trees = 10
Number of maple trees = 100
To find by how much number of oak trees greater than larch trees, we subtract 100 - 10
Answer: 90


Directions: Answer the following questions. Also write at least 5 examples of your own.
Q 1: This bar graph shows how many of each kind of tree there are in a garden. Each bar on the graph shows how many trees of a certain kind are. Find how many more oaks than maple trees are?

110 - 50 = 60
100 - 50 =50
70 - 50 = 20

Q 2: The graph shows rainfall during Charlies week in Chicago. Which day has far more rain than any other day.
