  1. Multiply the non zero numbers.
  2. Count the number of zeroes in the factors.
  3. Add the same number of zeroes to the product.
Example: 23x400
  • First multiply 23 and 4, this gives 92.
  • There are 2 zeroes in the question, hence the result is 9,200. Answer: 9,200

    Example: 30 x 400

  • First multiply 3 and 4, this gives 12.
  • There are 3 zeroes, hence the result is 12,000. Answer: 12,000
