Method:
  1. Read the problems carefully.
  2. Note the start time and end time.
  3. Find the time elapsed between the two.
Example: The game started at 5.45 PM and ended at 9 PM. For how long did the game go on?
Start Time = 5.45 pm
End Time = 9 pm
Time elapsed = 3:15
We calculate by using 5.45 - 6.45 as 1 hour, 6.45 - 7.45 another hour, 7.45 - 8.45 3rd hour and another 15 minutes to 9.
Answer: 3:15
