The area of a rectangle is:
A = l x b
A = Area of the rectangle
l = length of the rectangle
w = width of the rectangle

Example: What is the area of a rectangle with length 9 cm and width 3 cm?
A = l x b
Area = 9 x 3 cm2
Answer: 27 cm2

Example: What is the length of a rectangle if the area is 204 cm2 and width 12 cm?
A = l x b
204 = l x 12 sq.cms.
l = 17 cms
Answer: 17 cms
