2.9 Perimeter of a Rectangle
The perimeter of a rectangle is the distance around the outside of the rectangle.
A rectangle has four sides with opposite sides equal.
If l = length of the rectangle and w = width of the rectangle
Perimeter = l + w + l + w = 2l + 2w = 2 (l + w)
Perimeter = 2(l + w) units

Perimeter = 2(l+b)
Perimeter = 2(8+5)
Answer: 26 cm
