3.13 Rounding-Nearest Ten

Method:
  1. Read the numbers given.
  2. If the number in ones place is 5 or greater than 5, then the number is increased to the nearest tens.
  3. If the number in ones place is any number less than 5, then it is reduced to the nearest tens.
Example: Round 346 to the nearest tens.
Since the number in ones place, is 6, 1 is added to 4 and 6 is changed to 0.
Answer: 350

Example: Round 343 to the nearest ten.
Since the number in ones place, is 3 there is no change in the previous number.
Answer: 340
