Method:
- Read the numbers given.
- If the number in ones place is 5 or greater than 5, then the number is increased to the nearest tens.
- If the number in ones place is any number less than 5, then it is reduced to the nearest tens.
Example: Round 346 to the nearest tens.
Since the number in ones place, is 6, 1 is added to 4 and 6 is changed to 0.
Answer: 350
Example: Round 343 to the nearest ten.
Since the number in ones place, is 3 there is no change in the previous number.
Answer: 340
