The RaceIt was a nice sunny day. The weather was perfect for the race. One could hear the sounds of the crowd in the stadium grounds. People were enjoying themselves with popcorn, hotdogs, ice cream, and other snacks. Sally, Molly and Polly were all participating in the race. The race was important to all of them because the winner of this race would represent their school in inter-school championship race. They had practiced very hard all summer long.
The crowd was cheering and everybody was anxious to see who would win the race. Molly and Polly repeated: "I hope I win, I hope I win, I hope I win....", but they were not sure if they would win. But Sally pictured herself going ahead of everybody and crossing the finish line. Sally believed that she would win the race. She looked around the stadium one more time and got herself ready for the race. She tied her hair in a knot, so that it won't get in her face during the race.
