1.17 Plurals

A plural word is more than one of a person, place or thing. Some words have irregular plurals, for example, person (singular) -> people (plural).

However, for many words, plurals are obtained by adding an s, es, ves, and ies to the end of the word. If a word ends with an f, change f to v and add es. If a word ends with a y, change y to i and add es. Examples:
