A group of words that is part of a sentence is called a sentence fragment. A sentence fragment is less than a complete sentence. It can be missing the part that tells who or what, or what happened.
Fragment: On the way home.
Sentence: She walked with Anna on the way home.

Directions: Read the group of words and choose if it is a sentence or a fragment. Write ten examples of sentences and ten examples of fragments.
