  1. Step 1: Read each equation carefully.
  2. Step 2: Each of the equations contains numbers and one of their factors as 4.
  3. Step 3: Find the other factor.

Example: 12 + 8 = 4 x ?
  1. First evaluate what is 12+8 which gives 20.
  2. Break 20 into factors,where one of them is 4.
  3. Also the multiplication table 4 can be used to find 20.
