Decimal System:
 The system in which ten digits (namely, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9) are used to describe numbers is called the Decimal System.
 In the decimal system the ten digits written above are called the base digits. Hence the decimal system is Base Ten System.
Example:
Change the binary number 1100 into Decimal System. 1100_{2} = (___)_{10}
Here we use the place value chart of the Binary System. We solve this problem by multiplying each digit with its place value and add the products to get the answer.
1100_{2} = 1x2^{3} + 1x2^{2} + 0x2^{1} + 0x2^{0} = 1x8 + 1x4 + 0x2 + 0x1 = 8 + 4 + 0 + 0= 12
Answer:12.
