4.18 Expressing Using Integers

Some important points when we use integers with signs:

1. Above zero is indicated by positive sign.
2. Below zero is indicated by negative sign.
3. Above sea-level is indicated by positive sign.
4. Below sea-level is indicated by negative sign.

Examples:

1. 7 degree Centigrade above zero = 7 degree Centigrade.
2. 60 meters below sea-level = -60 meters.


Directions: Indicate the following expressions using integers.
Q 1: 7 degree Centigrade below zero
-7 degree Centigrade

Q 2: 10 degree Centigrade above zero
-10 degree Centigrade
