Possessive Pronouns

A possessive pronoun shows ownership. A possessive pronoun can be used with the name of what is owned or by itself. The possessive pronouns are my, your, our, his, her, their, its, mine, yours, ours, hers and theirs. Use mine, ours, yours, his, hers and theirs when you do not name what is possessed.

Note: Possessive pronouns do not have apostrophes.

Examples:
This is my pencil. The pencil is mine.
This is your bag. It is yours.
This is our room. This room is ours.
