A number is the reciprocal of another if their product is 1.
The reciprocal of a fraction is obtained by interchanging the numerator and the denominator, i.e. by inverting the fraction.
To find the reciprocal of a mixed number, change it into an improper fraction and then invert it.
Zero is the only real number that has no reciprocal. There is no number that when multiplied by zero gives a product of 1. Because zero does not have a reciprocal, you cannot divide by zero.
Example:
Reciprocal of 3 is 1/3
Reciprocal of 1/7 is 7
Reciprocal of 2/3 is 3/2
