Method:
• Subtracting Decimals is just like subtracting whole numbers.
1. Write the problem in column form
2. Align the decimal points so the digits you are adding have the same place value.
3. Subtract the decimal numbers.
4. Put the decimal point in answer in the proper place.
• If the decimals number are of different decimal places, we convert them into same decimal places by putting zeros at the right of the decimals wherever necessary.
Example: Subtract 99.8866 and 11.2211
 99.8866 - 11.2211 --- -------- 88.6655 --- --------

Example: Subtract 99.88 and 11.2211
Write 99.88 as 99.8800 and align the decimal and perform the subtraction operation.
 99.8800 + 11.2211 --- -------- 88.6589 --- --------
