|A fact is something that can be proved true.|
Example: The public library closes at 6 p.m.
An opinion is what one, or more than one, person thinks about something.
Directions: Choose if each sentence is a fact or an opinion. Also, write at least five examples of your own for facts and opinions. As a homework, read a book and find at least five facts and five opinions in it. At the next class, discuss the type of book you chose and whether it was easier to find facts or opinions in it.
