Contractions are a short way to write two words, such as I'm, she's, it's, they're .

Examples:
I am = I'm
it is = it's
you are = you're
we are = we're
they are = they're
she is = she's
he is = he's

would not = wouldn't
he will = he'll
could not = couldn't

Directions: Choose the words for which a contraction can be written. Rewrite the sentences using the contractions. As a homework, read a book and find at least five sentences containing contractions with verbs.
