Example: 3.34 - Round to the nearest tenth.
Look at the number in the hundreths place, since it is 4 the number is decreased to the nearest tenths.
Answer: 3.3
Example: 4.575 - Round to the nearest hundredth.
Look at the number in thousandths place, since it is 5, the number is increased to the nearest hundredths.
Answer: 4.58
Example: 8.7867 - Round to the nearest thousandth.
Look at the number in ten thousandths place, since it is 7, the number is increased to the nearest thousandths.
Answer: 8.787
