Method:
- If there are unlike fractions, then the denominator is made common.
- This is also referred to as the Least Common Multiple.
- List out the multiples of each of the denominators.
- Find out the common multiples and the least of them is the LCD.
Example: 1/3, 3/5
Multiples of 3 = 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18....
Multiples of 5 = 5, 10, 15, 20......
Common multiple = 15
Hence LCM = 15
Answer: 15
