Method:
  • List out the factors of numbers.
  • Find out the common factors.
  • The greatest of them is the GCF.
Example: Find GCF of 14 and 12
Factors of 14 are 1, 2, 7, 14
Factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
Common factors are 1,2
GCF is 2
Answer: 2
