Square Root
In mÖa, m is the index or order, Ö is the radical or square root sign and a is the radicand.
a*a = a2 and (-a)*(-a) = a2. Here 'a' is called the square root of a2. Thus for a &-a are two square roots of a2. We denote square root with the symbol ' Ö '.

Example : What is the value of Ö25 ?
Solution : 25 = 5*5.
The square root of 25 is 5.
